Perspectives helps clients understand what’s happening: in a particular field, in adjacent sectors, in nascent commercial markets, and in changing environments. This frequently involves a mix of:

• Technical intelligence.  What products fit a particular technical specification? Who else in the world is doing similar or related research? What are the capabilities of alternative or competing approaches?

• Market intelligence.  How much money is being spent on the problem? Who are the market leaders? What is the market demand? How will it change over time?

• Customer intelligence.  How can we better frame our value proposition? Who are the decision makers on selections? What do customers want, and what do they really need?  What will they pay?

We work with open-source material and also make heavy use of one-on-one interviews with subject matter experts to understand the nuances of a particular space. Our clients look to us to dig up useful information from public and private sources, then synthesize it into a concise view of possible answers to their questions.
